I drew this from a picture I found online, I think I could have added more detail if I used a second color for light areas. Overall, I think I got the proportions down accurately.

I agree, I think you did a good job with the proportions. The shadows on the legs also add weight to the legs and emphasize that they are crossed, you could also add that shadowing between the legs and the floor to help show the relationship between the figure and space
Perhaps the feet should be larger as they are closest to the viewer.
