This week I made a lot of collages, I attached a compilation of my favorites (I can’t totally tell if it is clear or not, I hope it is). Collecting the images took a lot of time, but it was a fun process. I wanted each to have their own narrative or vibe, but I didn’t have a plan in mind until I found a piece I really liked. This probably took over six hours.
Sofia, these are wonderful you did a great job with the image text and ground building a strange but convincing image and message. I’m glad you enjoyed making them.
I really love your use of text and how all the pieces are different but have a cohesive mood and color palette. I find abstraction particularly challenging and feel like you confidently executed the process. There is a somewhat retro and nihilist feel but in a very modernly aesthetic way. I think I’m going to try to do a collage next haha
