Samantha

Sam’s Self-Portrait

For this self-portrait I wanted to experiment with color. The initial drawing was done lightly in pencil. I then outlined the details in a thin black marker and layered colored markers to create depth. The drawing took me about 2 hours to complete.

  1. Sam, quite a compelling self-portrait. Colors are dynamic, I like the monochrome of the hair and shirt compared with the color range of the face. as well as the details within the face itself. Be sure to plot out your proportions and the location of the features in all your portraits.
