Attempted to draw Billie Eilish’s Vogue cover. This was my first full drawing using the oil pastels. It reminded me to stay lighter with dark lines and outlining because it got really muddy once I started layering the color. I originally wanted to do this image as my figure in a space drawing but focusing on the tiny man’s perspective as well as Billie’s. I believe the fact that I did this in my sketch book and with oil pastel, it became very challenging to be that detail that small. What made this picture challenging to draw was the hand in the foreground, 3/4 facial position, and the perspective with the tiny man.
9×12, Oil Pastel, 2 hours.

listening to her now as I type… I like the little man…but her mouth and nose seem a little out of alignment…cover the eyes and you will see what I mean..nice color like those oil pastels? are they the water soluble ones? if so try a little water with them in your sketchbook to see what happens.. if not just keep working dry.
