Here are 2 figures that I drew based off a photograph from artmodeltips.com which has a bunch of different figure poses to look at. The woman is sitting on a large black piece of furniture with the man standing behind her. I am really pleased with how her torso came out and also her arms. I am not as happy with either of their legs. Faces are also not my specialty so I do wish they looked nicer. I know it looks like the man is missing a leg but it is because of how he is standing that is torso looks shortened and his leg is able to be hidden by the woman’s body. This took 1.5 hours. I am overall happy with how the figures interact with each other, ignoring the small details.
Zoe, nice composition, yes the man does look like his torso is too short or he is missing a leg but it is not distracting. She came off very well, practice drawing feet. Put a mirror on the floor leaning up against a wall and draw your own feet from different angles. Look at the Bridgeman illustrations of feet on line. I am glad the weird figure websites worked out for you. Think about line weight. Darker lines advance, lighter lines recede. But it ia a very interesting dynamic composition of two figures interacting, good job!But I was hoping the two figures would be from life, at home in a domestic interior, doing everyday things. Sitting on the couch, watching tv, sitting at the kitchen table that sort of thing not nudes, not from an online photo.
