Journal 2: Throughout the semester, the more I looked at this drawing, the more I hated it. During our sustained studies unit I chopped it up to remake it in a collage. It began taking too much time and I ran into some difficulties. While collaging, it became to much of a miss-mosh of colors and other images that were very distracting and a very much enraging commentary on how women are perceived in art throughout history. Also, glue and un-sprayed lose materials (conte crayon and charcoal), do not mix. I ended up scrapping the whole thing and bringing the drawing into photoshop to digitally correct my original errors on the drawing as well as finish my collage commentary. I could not finish it before the end of the semester but it has became a summer project for me. The original drawing also took me a lot longer than I wish I spent.

I am so pleased that you added the sketch, it really shows how you analyzed the poses and what you wanted to emphasize.
I love the strong sense of interaction between figures but also the combination of colors is very reminiscent of classic pottery storytelling to me.
