This piece is an augmented magnification in conte crayon. It is 6×12″ and took an hour and a half on grey paper
This sharpie and vine charcoal piece is supposed to represent some futurist qualities but more resembles something of Keith Herring. It is 9×12″ and took an hour and a half
This continuous line drawing was completed in orange fine tip sharpie and took a half hour on 9×12″ paper
I love your take on abstraction! I like how you decided to try out different styles of abstraction. I’m really intrigued on what did you magnify for the first drawing (crazy successful abstraction).
Thank you so much! The original image is horizontal and of my shoulder into collarbone area.
I really like how each piece has a totally different theme/method for abstraction. I especially like the continuous line drawing, there’s an emphasis on the figures but enough background detail that we get a good idea of the scene it’s in. The background detail is also really well balanced, overall I just think it’s a really fun piece!!
Melina, it’s nice to see you you experiment with different approaches as Viola mentioned.
