Self Portrait

I used cray-pas on a torn sheet of printmaking paper. I drew based off of looking into a mirror in front of me. I had slight difficulty with lighting because I was sitting next to an open window while it was still light out and that highlighted my face at the beginning. But then I worked on it until it was pitch black out so that side was suddenly shadowed instead and I was very confused at first haha.

  1. Very effective image, but again, think about how the ground reinforces the image, it doesn’t always need to be in direct contrast with the figure.
