This week was my favorite. Expressive abstract figure is one of my favorite styles. Most of my sketches in my sketchbook look very rough (and creepy like this). I spent Saturday getting lost in the internet researching various artists and diving into some of their more unpopular works. Schiele and Klee have been some of my favorite artists since learning about them in Jason’s 2D last Spring. I also saved work by Albers, Bauer, Anuszkiewicz, and Lissitzky. I worked on these drawings on/off all weekend. I would say the one I’m submitting took me about 2.5 hours. I think I got a little lost on the the drawing as a whole but I liked the sections individually. I wanted to play with lighter, overlapping, line, figures in perspective, and the concept of reflection. I love the oil pastels. I’m trying to order more before the final.

This is so cool, I’ve never seen this style before and I really want to try it. I really love your line work
